It’s been a whirlwind two years for Adam Handling’s acclaimed restaurant The Frog E1 since opening its doors in Ely’s Yard back in 2016, and on Tuesday 5th June, they’re hosting one almighty party to celebrate!
Head Chef, Jamie Park, and his team have put together a special five-course tasting menu, complete with a carefully-curated selection of beer pairings with help from their innovative friends at Brick Lane bottle shop, Kill The Cat.
Featuring legendary Frog favourites from menus old and new, the meticulously planned menu will showcase The Frog E1’s signature style, featuring beautifully balanced and surprising dishes including: a ‘tuna tartare with shallots, jalapenos and avocado’; the much-loved ‘celeriac, yolk, apple and dates’; and the return of ‘piggy, cauliflower, kimchi’. Of course, there’ll also be some signature Frog E1 extras (think, those cheese doughnuts) thrown in for good measure.
As a special birthday treat, The Frog E1 has once again paired up with the Kill The Cat, who are riding high after being awarded ‘Most Loved Bar in Shoreditch & Hoxton’ in this year’s TimeOut Love London Awards 2018. This event follows last year’s legendary pairing evening, where Adam Handling Group Chefs, Steven Kerr and Jonny McNeil, wowed with their matched menu over at Kill The Cat’s site. Now, building on the success of their first leg, Steven and Jonny have invited their feline friends back to help make this a birthday to remember! Kill The Cat’s Wes Anson and Dan Sandy are bringing a diverse and unique range that is set to challenge your perception of what beer can be – as their ingenious, well-balanced selection perfectly enhances the evening’s exclusive menu.
Starting at 6pm, the birthday celebrations kick off with welcome drinks from Kill The Cat and classic Frog E1 snacks. This is sure to be a night you won’t want to miss, so grab your tickets quick!
