The nationwide operator of 73 premium cocktail bars and restaurants – Revolution and Revolución de Cuba – has announced a charity partnership with Shelter, the UK’s leading homelessness charity.
In 2018 alone, Revolution Bars Group hopes to raise over £150,000 through fundraisingevents and special charity promotions. Managers have already started to support the charity with local activity and aim to exceed the first year’s donations target.
Keith Edelman, Executive Chairman of Revolution Bars Group, comments: “What makes this partnership so exciting is that its instigation came from the ideas of our General and Area Managers. The team were passionate about finding more ways to give something back to local communities and commented that they often see the harsh reality of homelessness when working in city centre locations. The partnership is a great example of the commitment of the team who are excited to raise funds to support this important charity.”
Shelter is the leading charity tackling poor housing and homelessness in the UK, helping millions of people every year struggling with poor housing or homelessness through advice, support and legal services. Shelter also campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to the Charity for help.
Andrew Harris, Director of Fundraising at Shelter, commented: “We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Revolution Bars Group to raise so much to help people struggling with homelessness and bad housing. We’re really looking forward to seeing and hearing about all the fun and creative ways the group plans to support us.”
