The first-ever dedicated ‘Mentor Awards’ for Chefs will take part at the iconic Celtic Manor Resort on July 17th within the two-day H&C EXPO event. The Mentor Awards have been created to recognise individuals who have helped to train, nurture and develop Chefs across the UK hospitality and catering industry.
The Mentor Awards, span ten categories plus The Peter Hazzard award for outstanding achievement.
Chef Peter Hazzard, former Food & Beverage Director of Sodexo was a dedicated mentor and gave his time generously to all chefs that worked with him. This is the final award of the evening and will be presented to the Chef the judges feel has best followed in Peter’s mentoring footsteps.
The first category award of the evening is Best Restaurant Chef Mentor and we suspect one of the most hotly contested.
We are delighted to announce the restaurant category is being sponsored by Equip Line.
Equip Line is the exclusive UK supplier and importer for a number of world renowned food-service equipment manufacturers, and by the provision of a consistently high level of both pre and post sales service and support, we are fortunate to hold many house hold names, both international and national as customers, as well as many small independents, in several market sectors.
Equip Line are also exhibiting at H&C EXPO being a launch partner that supported the event from its conception.
Mark Harris, Event Director, H&C EXPO was quick to acknowledge Equip Line as the Best Restaurant Chef Mentor saying:
“Working with Equip Line in shaping H&C EXPO concept and now as a sponsor of the Mentors has been extremely helpful. The market knowledge and experience of the Equip Line team lends itself perfectly to an effective and collaborative working relationship.”
