Opening a stones throw away from their bakers Bread Ahead, as they join London’s iconic foodie hub! The new Borough High Street spot will be Patty & Bun’s 10th site and is set over two floors, offering an exclusive breakfast menu (that they’ve been beavering away at perfecting for a while), as well as an open kitchen, 50 seats and bar & milkshake offering.
Owner Joe Grossmann says: “’We’re beyond excited about Patty & Bun London Bridge… an area that’s obviously iconic and a melting pot for food in London! Borough holds a very close spot in my heart – as it’s where I began my food journey years ago working at Roast, along with it being home to our bakers Bread Ahead, so it feels like we’ve almost come full circle back to the roots…
The site is going to be unique, drawing on the different aspects of operation we’ve done in the past – so on the ground floor there will be a big theatrical open kitchen, similar to Liverpool St – geared towards take away, pick up’s and quick service whilst downstairs with its huge high ceilings and brick walls will be eat in, sit down vibes – more of a James St patty banger with draft beer, cocktails, in a slightly retro diner vibe style”.
The new breakfast menu, exclusively for Patty & Bun London Bridge, will be available Monday – Friday, along with AllPress coffee for the working masses in the area. Full brekkie details to follow …
The downstairs of Patty & Bun London Bridge will feature 50 covers and will be available for large bookings and big groups where people can sit, order and soak up the full Patty experience.
Equally built for the hustle and bustle and thoroughfare of Borough High Street on the ground floor, speed will also be at the centre of service, with a focus on take out / pre-orders – people will be able to order and be in and out in rapid fashion.
Patty & Bun London Bridge will be one of three new openings for Patty & Bun in 2018, the two other sites will include their first foray outside of London into Brighton and a super slick addition to Television Centre in White City. These new additions will all have the same individual feel in style and setup, continuing Patty’s growth through London from East to West to South and Brighton. All bringing the classic P&B offering and unique charm to local neighborhoods.
