Chris Lee, whose previous experience includes heading up an Antony Worrall Thompson kitchen, has been unveiled as Head Chef at Laura Ashley: The Belsfield Hotel.
The four-star hotel in Bowness-on-Windermere – which currently holds 1 AA Rosette – has appointed Chris as their new Head Chef as they now look to achieve further accolades and grow their reputation within Cumbria’s foodie landscape.
After stints at neighbouring Bowness hotel, The Ryebeck and England’s premier golfing resort, The Belfrey in Sutton Coldfield, Chris wants to bring his rustic yet refined style of food to one of the longest running hotels in the Lake District.
Chris who lives in near Bowland Bridge says: “The Lake District is awesome, and I’m thrilled to have a new opportunity to create food that customers want to experience. The Belsfield is iconic and the region has so much to offer, local ingredients such as Cartmel Valley Game make cooking and working in the Lake District unrivalled.”
General Manager of The Belsfield, Mario Malcharek said: “We are excited to welcome Chris as our new Head Chef and we are all looking forward to working with him. He has a creative yet traditional style which fits in with our ethos at The Belsfield.
