The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel is pleased to announce that Zico Iqbal has recently joined their senior team as General Manager.
The Glasgow based professional brings a wealth of experience from senior management roles with Malmaison, Village hotels and Diageo, as well as other hospitality venues.
As well as running the day to day operations, Zico will be part of the team implementing the independent conference hotel’s 2020 strategy to become an international venue focusing on healthcare and medical markets.
Zico, 41, said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Golden Jubilee family at this exciting time. Our strategy, looking at every single aspect of the business, conference facilities, bedrooms, food and the new Centre for Health and Wellbeing will ensure that the Golden Jubilee continues to have a high quality offering that meets the needs and aspirations of both current and future clients.
“We have a fantastic team and I’m looking forward to working with them to develop our services to ensure that all of our delegates, guests and visitors continue to receive the highest possible standard of hospitality.”
The Golden Jubilee already has an excellent reputation in the conference and hospitality sector, and this year celebrates 10 years as a member of Venue of Excellence and four years as a member of the International Association of Conference Centres.
Already this year, they have been named Conference Hotel regional winner at the Scottish Hotel Awards, going forward to the national finals of Scotland’s flagship hotel awards in April.
Bronagh Bell, Director of the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel, said: “With his wealth of experience in the hospitality sector, I am delighted to welcome Zico on board and am confident that he will bring some fresh, new ideas to enhance the already excellent services that we offer our conference and leisure customers.”
The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel is an integral part of the Golden Jubilee Foundation, the campus of facilities which includes the National Hospital, Research Institute and Innovation Centre.
