Germany’s leading brewery Krombacher is aiming to drive awareness of the importance of perfectly pouring your beer after launching #Pourfection2018.
With an all-expenses paid trip to Krombacher’s annual Reinheitsgebot celebrations at the brewery in April up for grabs, bar personnel, chefs, staff working in hospitality and even consumers from around the UK are being asked to create a video, picture, gif or boomerang of them showcasing their perfect pour.
Entrants are then asked to share their contribution using the hashtags #Pourfection2018 #Krombacher on the KrombacherUK Facebook page.
Krombacher draught beer, bottled beer or cans may be used and entries will be marked on pour quality, originality, the number of Facebook “likes” the post receives and consistency when it comes to the Krombacher brand.
A series of videos have been launched by Krombacher to showcase the knowledge, technique and skills required to pull off #Pourfection and deadlines for entries close at midnight on the 28th February 2018.
Stephan Kofler, Krombacher Sales & Marketing Director, said:
After all the time, care and patience put into brewing our beers, we’re incredibly passionate about ensuring our beer reaches your lips exactly how it should. #Pourfection2018 is a fun way of hopefully raising pouring standards across the UK. Our aim is not to just ensure the country’s pub teams have the knowledge and power to pour perfectly but we want to increase understanding among consumers as well.”
Krombacher beers have been produced exclusively in the small town of Krombach, nestling in the beautiful Siegerland Hills of Westfalia, central Germany since 1803, adhering to the German Beer Purity Law of 1516 (Reinheitsgebot).
Relying on artistry, experience and above all passion, Krombacher’s 55 Master Brewers ensure no corners are cut in their pursuit of perfection.
Combining time-consuming methods of the traditional German brewers with state-of-the art technology, the brewery only uses the best, 100% natural and wholesome ingredients including the finest two-row summer barley, Siegel hops from Hallertau and its own specially cultivated yeast.
For the precious water, Krombacher beers benefit from the local Felsquellwasser® found in 48 wells within 3km of the brewery. The special water is especially soft and low in mineral content making it perfect for brewing.
The proudly independent, family-run brewery has achieved consecutive year on year double digit UK sales growth since 2012 with over 300 draught taps now in operation in the UK.
Success in the ON-trade for its comprehensive draught, bottle and can offering plus it’s low/no alcohol range, which saw 45% sales growth in 2017, has also bolstered OFF-trade sales with the brand recently launching its 660ml Pils in Morrisons and Booths.
