Monday 16th July 2018 will see eighteen teams representing businesses across the UK hospitality and catering industry line up to play at the Celtic Manor, home of The Ryder Cup in 2010.
The H&C EXPO Celtic Manor Charity Golf Day will raise money to support the work done by The Clink Charity and The Foxes Academy.
Both The Clink Charity and The Foxes Academy provide opportunities for people to enter our industry, as well as providing ongoing support, training and guidance to develop their careers in hospitality and catering.
The H&C EXPO theme running throughout all elements of the event will focus on opportunities for people to enter our industry, ongoing support, training and guidance to in part counter the people and skills shortages in our industry.
The teams taking part are detailed below…
- ARC Services
- Bank Brokers
- Bartlett Mitchell
- Cambrian Training Company
- Carden Park
- CH&Co Group
- Cleaner Products
- Collins King & Associates
- The Celtic Manor
- The Clink Charity

We also have Cyrus Todiwala OBE who has offered to drive a buggy for one team taking part in the golf day. If you want Cyrus to be part of your team at The H&C EXPO Charity Golf Day, you just need to book your team in and then bid more than any other team for Cyrus to join you. Your bid will go to The Clink Charity & The Foxes Academy. The bidding has started, and we have received an offer from Cleaner products of £250.
Ex Wales rugby captain Paul Thorburn is leading the golf team for Bank Brokers, Paul holds the world record for the longest successful kick in an international test match, and we hear he can play golf too.
We know that two of the teams have held their own golf day to allow people in the business to compete to play on the day.
CH&Co have let us know that their golfers are more than keen to take part, Tim Jones, Chairman of CH&Co Group said:
“I can’t think of a better way to support the valuable work of the Clink Charity and The Foxes Academy than with a round of golf at Wales’ home of the sport, Celtic Manor.
CH&Co Group is very much looking forward to taking part in this exclusive event and the keen golfers in the business are chomping at the bit to secure their place in our team.
Making careers in hospitality accessible to all through positive training opportunities is an important part of CH&Co Group’s values and it’s for this reason we want to participate in this event that will raise money for and awareness of these worthy charities. It’s going to be a great day of golf and healthy industry competition, and with Cyrus Todiwala as the host, it’s sure to be a lot of fun!”
