The UK’s largest tenpin bowling operator, Hollywood Bowl Group, has invested half a million pounds in the development of a new Hollywood Bowl in Dagenham. Work began on the site that was formally a Namco Funscape in mid-September and completed in early October, with the centre remaining open for the duration of the project.
Steve Burns, CEO, Hollywood Bowl Group said: “Dagenham is the fourth new Hollywood Bowl centre to open in the last 12 months, following new builds in Derby and Southampton, the London O2 centre and nine rebrands and refurbishments throughout the existing estate.
“The centre has undergone a huge transformation and customer reaction has been excellent, so we’re extremely excited about the future of the new Hollywood Bowl Dagenham following this investment.
The new Hollywood Bowl Dagenham is a ‘new generation’ Hollywood Bowl, including 20 pre-bookable, fully computerised lanes with plush seating, four exclusive VIP lanes, a new ‘Hollywood Diner’ concept and upgraded bar, with new décor celebrating all things Americana.
Visitors can enjoy freshly-made American classics, including gourmet burgers and dogs, as well as shakes and signature desserts.
The centre’s impressive amusement offer has also been part of the transformation with the latest state-of-the-art games installed into a new look amusements area.
The revamped bar serves a variety of drinks including traditional cocktails – making it an ideal venue for night time trade. Hollywood Bowl Dagenham is now perfectly positioned, not only as a great place to enjoy a game of bowling, but also as an entertainment haven for families and adult fun seekers alike.
