Millers64 on Pilrig Street has been named Best Bed & Breakfast at the 6th annual Food and Drink Reader Awards.
The upgraded Victorian terrace was the only Scottish venue to be recognised in its category, and emerged successful after reaching the final in the same awards last year. Millers64 is run by sisters Louise and Shona Clelland and offers the very best hospitality for visitors to Edinburgh, inspired by the global travels of the owners.
The awards, organised by Food and Travel magazine, took place last night (Monday 18th September) at a glittering ceremony at The Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall, London. Voted for by readers, the awards honour the best of the best in the world of food, drink and travel.
Louise and Shona Clelland were at the glittering ceremony last night to collect their award and commented on their success:
“We’re absolutely stunned. We are a small independent venue, so to be recognised as a finalist for the second year in a row was a great feeling, and then winning is just incredible. We’re so thankful for everyone who has stayed with us over the years and took the time to show their support; and we’re so very proud to be bringing this award back to Edinburgh.”
The award, which is the second time Millers64 has been recognised after winning the same category in 2014, marks the beginning of a year of celebration, with 2018 marking the ten year anniversary of the Bed & Breakfast opening. Millers64 is a luxurious retreat in Edinburgh, where guests are warmly welcomed with freshly baked shortbread and homemade tablet to one of its two superbly finished bedrooms.
