Moves and new appointments in detail:
Alice Bussi, Group Food and Beverage Manager at The Seren Collection
Alice Bussi launched Beach House Restaurant with our Head Chef Hywel Griffith in 2016 having joined us from Bath Priory where she was also Restaurant Manager. She has made quite an impact on the Gower and the business has had an extraordinary start to life under their shared leadership.
Alice moves into this newly created Food & Beverage Manger role for the group where she will have responsibility for overall operational delivery and exceptional guest experiences across our restaurants and café business. We wish her every success in this most exciting and challenging role.
Alice will report to The Seren Collection Managing Director Neil Kedward.
Oliver Crittenden, Group Human Resources Manager at The Seren Collection
We are delighted to announce that Oliver Crittenden has been promoted into the Seren Management Team as our Human Resources Manager which is a newly created role to support the overall group.
Oliver has always had a burning ambition to move into a HR Management role and so we were pleased to be able to facilitate this change in career for him.
We are very lucky that he brings to the role many years of industry experience in hotels and restaurants. As a graduate of the 10 out of 10 Management Trainee Programme Oliver has worked in some of the best venues including Cliveden, Pennyhill Park, Chewton Glen, Gidleigh Park and Lucknam Park. His experience includes working in Michelin starred kitchens as a chef with Michael Wignall at the Latymer, front of house in these restaurants, as well as housekeeping, guest relations and duty management roles. We know he will be a huge asset to the business bringing this wide experience to develop our HR management capability going forward.
Oliver will report to The Seren Collection Managing Director Neil Kedward.
Karen Weisheit, Reception and Reservations Manager at Grove
Grove was always going to be the final destination for our remarkably talented hotel professional Karen Weisheit who joins the management team at Grove as Reception and Reservations Manager. She will also be supporting our General Manager Louise Lewis with Duty Management responsibilities in the hotel.
Like Oliver, Karen has worked at Cliveden, Gidleigh Park but also Mallory Court. Her supervisor and senior management experience is focused on Food & Beverage to date and so this role is new for Karen and develops her front of house management and reservations experience. We know that she will be a huge success in this role and is already having a big impact on the role.
Karen will report to the Grove of Narberth General Manager Louise Lewis.
Katherine Morgant, Restaurant Manager at Beach House
Katherine replaces Alice as the Restaurant Manager. She brings over 10 years restaurant experience to the business having run the Michelin starred Medlar restaurant in Chelsea for over 3 years, as well as having senior management and supervisory roles at Angela Hartnett’s Murano, the Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons Hotels across Europe. She is also a trained Sommelier having started her career at the Hotel de Vin in Cambridge. We are absolutely delighted to have her on board and she has already ensured a seamless handover of responsibilities from Alice.
Katherine will report to The Seren Collection Food & Beverage Manager Alice Bussi.
Alexandra Marcher, Head Sommelier at Beach House
Alexandra Marcher has joined us at Beach House as our Head Sommelier.
She has excellent experience across Europe in Germany and Italy before joining the Bath Priory Hotel as their Sommelier. We have lots of plans to improve the wine offering across all the restaurants and Alexandra will be leading that effort at the Beach House. We wish her the best of luck in her new role on the Gower. Together with Katherine they form a formidable new front of house team which means that we can push on into 2018 with real confidence.
Alexandra will report to Beach House Restaurant Manager Katherine Morgant.
Rhianna Chilton, Assistant Restaurant Manager at Coast
Rhianna Chilton who is originally from Pembrokeshire joins the team at Coast as Assistant Restaurant Manager. She has 5 years of restaurant experience having worked at the 3 AA Rosette Summer Lodge Hotel & Restaurant in Dorset before joining Michelin starred Old Vicarage and then Rafters in Sheffield. Rhianna also holds a Hospitality Business Management degree.
Rhianna brings strength and depth to the front of house team at Coast and we wish her the very best in her new role with Emma and Will in Saundersfoot.
Rhianna will report to Coast Restaurant Manager Emma-Louise Collins.
