Macdonald Aviemore Resort has hailed the 21st Thunder in the Glens event as a roaring success.
The Resort was once again the central hub of the weekend-long extravaganza with live entertainment, a street food market, a campsite for over 600 tents and outdoor beer, cider and gin tents among the many attractions which organisers say drew record crowds.
Macdonald Aviemore Resort has worked with event organisers Dunedin Chapter for the past 12 years, steadily growing its commitment to what is the largest Harley-Davidson, H.O.G chapter-run event in the UK and Europe.
Commenting on the success of the event, Macdonald Aviemore Resort Managing Director Ian Peck said: “Thunder in the Glens is one of the largest public events we hold during the year making it important to both the vibrancy of the Resort, and to the local economy due to the large number of visitors it attracts to the area.
“We are delighted that the 21st event was another huge success and we look forward to welcoming Thunder in the Glens again in 2018.”
Rally Co-ordinator George McGuire added: “I am absolutely delighted that so many people have come and joined us for a great weekend. It is fantastic to see people coming from both the local area and all over the country to share in the experience – that’s what makes all the hard work, time and effort so worthwhile.”
