Firedog, the Turkish meze dining club and bar on Newman Street, Fitzrovia, has unveiled a new underground event space, which it is launching for corporate and private dining events.
Located in the lower ground floor of the restaurant, the new space is able to accommodate up to 70 guests for seated dining. It is ideal for business lunches, networking events, celebratory dinners and large and small social seated gatherings. Well suited for private hire, Firedog will work closely with parties to create bespoke packages that provide a tailored and unique dining experience.
The new underground space features classic interiors of snug, dark wood panelling and warm brass fittings that clash cleverly with the contemporary and punk-edge mixed media murals commissioned on the walls, providing the perfect modern backdrop for group bookings across a plethora of occasions.
The culinary offering is inspired by the Ottoman region – from the flavours through to the open flame cooking carried out on a charcoal grill. The menu has been devised by George Notley, Executive Chef of the Fork and Blade group, who has extensively travelled the region to capture its gastronomic heritage.
Set menus are available for large bookings in the downstairs area, with meat option, as well as a vegetarian offering; all of which can be personalised. Outside catering by Firedog is also available upon request.
Dishes from the new set menus include:
- Charred Octopus with Smoked Corn Puree and Pickled Rock Samphire
- Stuffed Graffiti Aubergine served with Aged Feta
- 30 Day Aged Urfa Rubbed Rib Eye Steak
- Hummus, burnt sumac butter
- Bulgur, pomegranate, barberries, pistachios
- Crispy Sujuk, hung lemon yogurt, honey
Personalised celebratory cakes and deserts can all be tailored for each special event booking per request, all made in house.
Firedog’s lower ground dining space has launched in tandem with the introduction of the venue’s new evening meze dining offering.
Open seven days a week; the all-day menu is served Monday to Saturday from 11am – 12.00am, Sunday 11am-11pm. Weekend Brunch with bottomless options available Sat + Sun. reservations can be made.
