Beers from Birrificio Angelo Poretti, produced in Italy for 140 years, will be debuted at Bellavita Expo in London and leading beer sommelier Annabel Smith will be running a Birrificio Poretti session on the role of hops on 19th June at the Expo.
Described as one of the finest Italian premium beers, part of the global Carlsberg family, they are available to the on-trade in draught, DraughtMaster and bottled formats.
The range continues to be produced with authentic passion, by selecting and combining over 300 varieties of luppoli (hops in English) added at different stages of production to create beers of distinction and exceptional quality.
There are five beers offered in the UK, from popular lager-style beers, 3 Luppoli and 4 Luppoli Originale; to the intense amber of 5 Luppoli Bock Chiara, 6 Luppoli Bock Rossa and 9 Luppoli Indian Pale Ale, the range offers flexibility and variety and enables discovery. Becky Sagoo, Brand Manager for Poretti says: “Brewed in Valganna, Italy since 1877, Birrificio Angelo Poretti has heritage, expertise and innovation at the heart of the brand which brings you real quality beer with a story to tell. The range is perfect for the demands of high-end casual and fine dining establishments, providing distinctive choices across the styles.”
Renowned, accredited Beer Sommelier Annabel Smith; a freelance beer trainer, speaker, educator and writer with over 30 years’ experience in the industry, will be introducing visitors to the world of beer, talking through the role of hops, the current market trends and doing a live beer tasting paired with food using the Birrificio Poretti 4, 5 and 6. This will take place on Monday 19th June at 2.00 pm at the Bellavita Expo Wine & Beer Academy.
Aldo Mazzoco, CEO of Bellavita, says: “Visitors to Bellavita London Expo should make their way to the Birrificio Angelo Poretti bar next to the Bellavita Food Academy to taste and experience the very essence of Italian culture.
