Commenting on the selection, Chairman of the Master Innholders and General Manager of Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel, Stuart Bowery FIH MI said: “I am proud to welcome these new Master Innholders who join an association which has the prime objective of promoting the highest professional standards in hotel management. The excellent quality of submissions received this year, as well as the breadth of the industry which they represented, bodes well for the future success and influence of the Master Innholders.”
The formation of the Master Innholders in 1978 was the first step taken by the Worshipful Company of Innholders towards renewing its traditional links with the hotel industry. The award of membership is open to practising hoteliers by application each year. With the full support of the Worshipful Company of Innholders and the Institute of Hospitality, Master Innholders have slowly grown in number and have increased their influence and charitable activities within the hotel industry.
The Master Innholders organises the popular annual General Managers’ Conference in London, the proceeds of which help support professional management development through the highly-acclaimed Master Innholder Scholarships. These valuable awards are delivered with the generous collaboration of the Savoy Educational Trust, the Worshipful Company of Innholders and the Lord Forte Foundation.
