Jupiter Hotels has promoted Tracey Brown to food and beverage director, responsible for food and beverage across the group’s portfolio of 29 UK hotels.
Jupiter Hotels operate 29 hotels in the UK, 27 under the Mercure brand and two Holiday Inns. Geographically balanced well, the hotel portfolio is situated from Inverness to Brighton and Swansea to Norwich.
Following 30 years at the business, Brown has risen through the ranks from hotel manager to director. Commenting on her appointment, Brown said: “The F&B team has a passion for delivering exciting and quality food and drink at our hotels. The customer is at the heart of all our decisions and innovations, ensuring everything is tailored to their needs and desires. I am deeply proud to head up our work across all 29 Jupiter Hotels and to work with such a dedicated and talented team.”
The appointment follows continued food and beverage successes across the portfolio including breakfast and dinner year on year revenue growth; the introduction of chef signature dishes at each hotel; and the development and implementation of food and beverage focused guest experiences.
Shane Harris, chief executive, Jupiter Hotels, added: “Tracey has helped build and shape our food and beverage offering over the years and continues to meet and exceed both my and our customer’s expectations. What customers want from a hotel in food and beverage terms has changed. Guests don’t always want a formal dining experience or even separate restaurants. As such we have looked closely at our guests’ needs at each hotel and designed a food and beverage experience to suit. We’ve moved toward creating executive lounge bars, with different areas providing different needs and a food and beverage offering to match.”
