The Great Hospitality Show took place last week and like thousands of others in our industry many of the H&C News team went to visit.
As soon as you entered the show chefs were there to greet you and on this occasion it was the Rational brigade.
The Rational stand is a live case study for exhibitors in how to exhibit, engage with your target audience and they certainly did. Food was prepared, cooked and served all day. The range of dishes meant there was something for everyone and almost everyone stopped to watch, listen and taste at some point in the day.
The H&C News team had a number of people to see and various members of the team set off accordingly. Our Wine and Drinks Editor Alistair also had a seminar to present, Ethnic Food and Wine matching. Somehow though we all found ourselves back at the Rational stand pretty quick, strange that. Majella our Restaurant Openings and Reviews Editor at least had the excuse she was on photographic duty.
The quite convenient part of hanging around the Rational stand was that as it was so busy and so many people were stopping by, that we got to meet loads of people just by standing there. Cyrus Todiwala came by to see what was happening and taste the food as did many other chefs.
The Rational Chefs talked food, prepared and cooked food in front of the visitors and fed them with countless examples of what their ovens can do.
The finale was from two of the ovens, after a long day cooking they cleaned themselves, all in a day’s work for a Rational oven.
