Hakkasan Group Venues:
Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant HKK is offering an interpretation of the ancient and extravagant emperor’s feasts. This consists of an eight-course banquet created by Executive Head Chef Tong Chee Hwee. The menu showcases customs and traditions and includes an alcoholic and non-alcoholic flight that has been created to pair with each dish. Guests will use chopsticks decorated with a silver strip, just as royals in ancient China did. The feast ends with a Century egg, a reinvention of the Chinese thousand year old egg; a dessert flavoured with hazelnut, sesame and coffee. The restaurant has also been decorated with bespoke banners, designed by British Chinese artist-printmaker Wuon-Gean Ho. Each banner has been hand printed on beautiful Japanese shoji paper using a screen print technique and provides guests the ultimate immersive storytelling experience.
Michelin-starred dim sum teahouse Yautcha is welcoming in the Chinese New Year with a range of red items on the menu; the colour red symbolises good luck and joy in China. The menu includes 10 different petits gateaux decorated a vibrant shade of red alongside a red cocktail using the Chinese spirit baijiu and a red dim sum dish. There is an array of glowing red Chinese lanterns and a traditional celebratory Chinese lion dance being held in both the Yauatcha Soho and Yauatcha City restaurants.
Hakkasan restaurants are celebrating the Year of the Rooster with a limited edition menu, including an exclusive cocktail and dessert. The Hakkasan restaurants will honour the Chinese wishing tree tradition, with guests able to share their hopes for the coming year by writing wishes on beautiful red and gold ribbons, featuring a bespoke rooster design by London illustrator Kam Tang, hanging them on the iconic Hakkasan lattice cages.
