Verdant Leisure, a bespoke holiday park operator with six holiday parks in Scotland and the north of England is investing over £2.7 million in its portfolio for 2017. The company, established in 2010, has grown steadily and is now a key player in the industry.
Verdant Leisure has invested over £600K in new hire fleet across its holiday parks and opened a new head office in Lancaster, creating 20 jobs in the region from marketing to administration and finance.
The holiday park operator has already seen an 11% YoY increase in bookings for 2017 and next year is promising to be the most successful in Verdant Leisure’s short history. This mirrors the latest industry trend of Brits planning more staycations in 2017.
At Verdant Leisure’s Berwickshire coastline parks, Thurston Manor and Pease Bay, the investment will be spent on Thurston Manor’s restaurant and lounge bar facilities, as well as new holiday accommodation and pitch development. At Pease Bay the money will go towards improving infrastructure including accommodation, the bar and restaurant. The holiday park will also be introducing WiFi for owners and guests.
Riverside Holiday Park on the edge of Wooler Water in Northumberland will see an improvement to its bar and restaurant and additional fleet.
Ayrshire’s Viewfield Manor Holiday Park is welcoming investment over the coming months, which will offer new pitch development and improvements to accommodation.
Verdant Leisure’s two holiday parks based in North East England, Heather View and Kingfisher, will benefit from additional investment with the introduction of top of the range hire fleet and new pitch development. Heather View will also be welcoming additional facilities including an on-site shop and WiFi.
“The key to our success is understanding the needs of our owners and holidaymakers and ensuring that we deliver the level of service, quality accommodation and first class facilities they have come to expect from Verdant Leisure and the parks in our portfolio. The staycation trend is continuing and 2017 is going to be another pivotal year for the business, we are excited to see what the future brings,” says Graham Hodgson, CEO Verdant Leisure.
