GŌNG, the highest bar in Western Europe, will celebrate London Cocktail Week 3-9 October (LCW). This is the first year that GŌNG at level 52 of the five-star Shangri-La, Hotel At The Shard, will participate in LCW, and it is all set to offer the cocktail with the most glorious views. The GŌNG team have created Edgar, a super-luxurious, aromatic whiskey cocktail. The limited edition cocktail will be available from 3-9 October 3-6pm for LCW wristband wearers to buy. They will have front row seats at the bar while the cocktail is being made.
To give as many people as possible the chance to enjoy the experience, the offer will be limited to one cocktail per person. GŌNG’s normal no reservations policy will apply. Guests are welcome to stay after the event to experience cocktails from GŌNG’s Circle of Life menu, which includes 18 original creations, plus traditional classics.

- 5ml Michter’s US*1 unblended American whiskey [Technically not a bourbon due to its ageing in bourbon-soaked barrels as opposed to new oak]
- 35ml De Kuyper XO Apricot Brandy, infused with cacao nibs.
- [Made with French and Turkish apricots and Grande Champagne XO cognac]
- 1 barspoon of Fernet Branca
- 1 barspoon GŌNG house-made coffee & saffron syrup (1:1)
- 2 dashes of lavender bitters

- Garnish: edible gold leaf on the ice
- Tasting notes: This is a luxurious smooth sip created for pure enjoyment as you gaze out at London’s spectacular views; an inspiring and heady combination.
