The Garden Rooms Restaurant at The Rosslea Hall Hotel is celebrating, as it scooped a prestigious award at this year’s Food Awards Scotland 2016.
The Garden Rooms Restaurant in Rhu beat off stern competition to collect the Hotel Restaurant of the Year award within the South West category at a glittering ceremony in Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Judges recognised both head chef Tony Quinn and his kitchen team’s exciting and innovative menu alongside Neil Irwin and his front of house team’s excellent service, helping to sway the votes in the Garden Rooms Restaurant’s favour and bring home the award to Helensburgh.
The Rosslea Hall Hotel – managed by the UK’s leading independent hotel management company, Redefine|BDL Hotels – is well known for its locally sourced fresh produce. This latest award will be no surprise to local residents and guests, with their public votes putting the AA Rosette awarded Garden Rooms Restaurant firmly at the top of this year’s shortlist.
Don McGregor, general manager of the Rosslea Hall Hotel, said: “It’s a fantastic achievement for Tony and the team here at the Garden Rooms Restaurant to be recognised for their hard work, and this award win is testament to their continued passion and dedication.
“To wow the judges and take home the award, when up against some other fantastic venues, just shows that the Garden Rooms Restaurant is continuing to do what we do best -excel in food and service for both guests and visitors throughout the year.”
Created in 2014, the annual Food Awards Scotland celebrates and rewards the very best in Scottish food hospitality, spotlighting servers, specialists and suppliers who go above and beyond within the industry.
