Titanic Hotel Liverpool, situated in the city’s iconic Stanley Dock, has appointed Brian Connor as the new general manager to oversee daily operations.
Originally from Glasgow, Brian brings more than 23 years’ experience to his new role. He joins Titanic Hotel Liverpool from Chester’s Doubletree by Hilton, where he served as general manager for four years. Throughout his career, which began with luxury cruise line Seabourn, he has held various managerial positions with prestigious hotel groups such as De Vere and IHG.
Brian commented: “Having made Liverpool my home in 1998, I was delighted to accept the role as general manager. I have a great passion for the city and its people and believe that it has so much to offer visitors and residents alike.
“It’s great timing for me to begin my role at Titanic Hotel Liverpool. After being awarded both ‘Hotel of the Year’ and ‘Excellence in Business Tourism’ at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2016, I can continue with the good work and develop the level of excellence the hotel has been recognised for. The award represents the pinnacle of hospitality achievement, championing the best in their respective field, which we are immensely proud of.
“Titanic Hotel is a unique property, not only due to its monumental scale and historic importance but also in its people. I’m very much looking forward to working with the team here; they’re massively passionate about delivering exceptional customer service – it’s what the hotel’s known for. Together we’ll now focus on building further on this reputation, and take Titanic Hotel Liverpool to the next chapter in its iconic story.”
