Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel has unveiled a major refurbishment of its bedrooms and courtyard. Located opposite Brighton’s famous beach, Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel is an elegant Grade II listed Victorian property. Its Mews rooms have been given a new contemporary look with artwork that echoes the promenade location and Brighton landmarks alongside a marine inspired colour scheme.
The Mews are tucked quietly behind the main building around a courtyard but linked internally with the hotel. Two room styles have been updated within The Mews and the courtyard itself has been made over with charming hedges, plants and topiary.
Within The Mews there are 22 Classic Rooms which have been given a fresh modern look, with a feature wall that has a stunning photographic image, as well as new televisions and new soft furnishings, wallpaper and paint in a seaside palette. The 30 other rooms within The Mews have similar new features but also offer guests the benefit of Mercure’s Privilege Package, which means a Nespresso coffee machine, robes and slippers and a daily delivery of a newspaper of guests’ choice.
General Manager Iain Lindsay commented “We’re delighted with the new look of our rooms. The Mews is a lovely area behind our impressive main building. It’s quiet and self-contained, ideal for groups and corporates who want to be accommodated together. The Mews is a low rise building, where the stables to the main hotel building were originally located. The rooms are light and airy – and now with the new look, even more stylish.’
Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel has an impressive location overlooking the sea and promenade. The listed main building brings a 19th century elegance to a stay in East Sussex and offers a stunning ballroom with original chandeliers, a restaurant and bar with sea views and a choice of six different meeting spaces to cater for events large or more intimate.
The hotel is just a short stroll from Brighton’s centre, with the Pier, characterful Lanes and Royal Pavilion under a mile away.
