As part of a vital scheme to drive talent within the industry, Dine Contract Catering is delighted to announce that it has reached its 100th qualified apprentice.
The fast-growing entrepreneurial operator was recently included on The Sunday Telegraph’s Top Apprenticeship Careers List and has also been presented with a Quality Mark Award from People 1st for its bespoke training package.
A grand total of 65 of the company’s Team Members are now in active apprenticeships, and Beth Lowde is the 100th to achieve an apprenticeship qualification (NVQ), having completed her Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service apprenticeship whilst working full time as a General Assistant.
Working with HIT Training, the leading provider of training and apprenticeships for the Hospitality Sector, the company is able to offer a wide range of apprenticeships to new and existing Team Members of any age.
Dine Contract Catering’s Managing Director, Ian Cartwright, has spoken about the business benefits of offering apprenticeships:
“We’re over the moon after reaching this landmark with our 100th apprentice. It’s a great achievement for our business, as training is vital to delivering the highest possible standards across our organisation, but also for the wider Industry as a whole. And with nearly a quarter of job openings in 2015 left vacant, filling the Industry’s skills gap has never been more important.
“Apprenticeships are crucial to attracting talented young people within the Sector, as well as making a hugely valuable contribution to our business, which is why we are fully committed to taking on new apprentices and encouraging talent within the Contract Catering Industry.”
With positions available across the company, Dine Contract Catering’s apprenticeships include the opportunity to study for an NVQ in Hospitality, and to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
