On Thursday 5 May, summer returns to the rooftops of Oxford Street with the opening of Notch. The once peaceful, garden utopia that was #Roofnic throughout the summer months of 2015, has been transformed into a buzzing sky-high industrial playground where Londoners can enjoy Japanese street food, pop cans of Negroni after work and brunch on the weekends.
Climb up the staircase to the Williamsburg Warehouse meets Berlin Yard Sale space, led by design team, DENLDN, featuring an eclectic mix of reclaimed school science tables; Edwardian floorboards; bomb proof lighting; scaffolding; and rooftop swings overlooking the street below.
Fudo Shack will provide Japanese street food all day from 10am to 10pm with a menu of small bites. Amongst weekly specials, Notch signature dishes will include a Sashimi Pizza made up of sliced tuna, anchovy aioli, wasabi tobiko, sesame seeds and coriander. There will also be a dedicated brunch menu served on Saturdays and Sundays as well as a great selection of sweets and desserts. Drinks will have a distinct summer feel to them with a range of Rum, Tequila and Gin based cocktails, such as the Red Pigeon made with Espolon Tequila, Campari, lime, pink grapefruit and sugar. Schooners of craft beers, bags of wine and tuna cans filled with readymade Negroni’s, Old Fashioned’s and Adonis’ will be highlights among sharing cocktails and an Uncle Wray’s Slushie Rum Punch.
With capacity of up to 100 people, Notch will be open 7 days a week from 10am until 10pm come rain or shine.
