Côte Restaurants, the fast-growing UK restaurant chain, has acquired the Jackson & Rye and Limeyard brands from their founders. The transaction marks Côte’s first add-on acquisition since it partnered with BC Partners, the leading European private equity firm, in July 2015. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Jackson & Rye offers premium East Coast American-style food from three sites located in Soho, Richmond and Chiswick.
Limeyard provides all-day casual dining and currently operates a single restaurant in Ealing.
The acquisition of these London sites adds to Côte’s significant restaurant roll-out potential in the UK and is part of a long-term strategy of creating a new multi-branded group of restaurants.
Alex Scrimgeour, Côte’s CEO, commented: “We are incredibly excited to bring two high-quality fledgling restaurant concepts under the Côte umbrella at such an early stage in their growth. Both cater to a new type of clientele for us and we see an opportunity to apply Côte’s proven front and back of house expertise to develop and expand both brands further.”
