The Blues Kitchen and Pizza Pilgrims are teaming up for one mighty collaboration throughout February and March 2016 with the ultimate menu switch, allowing foodie fanatics to experience the best of both worlds.
February will see Pizza Pilgrims swap their stone ovens for smoking pits, and knead some Neapolitan charm into the spirit of the Deep South, with ‘The Pilgrim’, The Blues Kitchen’s Burger of The Month (Shoreditch, Brixton and Camden). In March The Blues Kitchen re-trace Pizza Pilgrim’s footsteps to create a special ‘guest pizza’ at their restaurants on Dean Street, Kingly Street and newly opened Exmouth Market.
THE PILGRIM – a name inspired by the existential journey this burger takes you on, made up of a dry-aged Angus & Shorthorn steak patty, set between a bun made with genuine Parmigiano Reggiano; laden with smoked buffalo mozzarella from Caserta, Calabria, chosen specifically for its richer flavour and messy character; Pizza Pilgrim’s signature melted nduja from Spilinga, Calabria, made from the tastiest and fattiest parts of the pig that creates little pools of spicy joy; fresh basil; San Marzano tomato ketchup; and topped with a creamy truffle mac’n’cheese arancini. Priced at just £15 – who said money can’t buy happiness?
Combining pizzas and burgers may sound like heretical nonsense to the purists out there but to the visionaries behind Pizza Pilgrims and The Blues Kitchen, this is a spiritual awakening! So, while everyone else goes pancake mad (oh, The Blues Kitchen have those too at their Mardi Gras party), find your pizza/burger hybrid nirvana at The Blues Kitchen.
