The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs has launched its Annual Young Professionals Competition, and is calling for ambitious young chefs to enter for 2016.
International Final to be held in Manchester
This year is set to be an extremely exciting one, as chef entrants will be competing for the chance to represent their country right here in Britain with the International Final being held in Manchester next September.
It is the first time GB has been awarded the opportunity to host the International Young Chef Final – an honour bestowed upon countries demonstrating culinary excellence on a global level.
Entries are now opened for chefs no older than 27 years. Entrants must be nominated by their Chaîne des Rôtisseurs’ affiliated employer by the 31st December 2015.
Candidates put forward will be assessed by the Competition Committee at regional level, and the most impressive entrants will then go onto compete at the National Final at Unilever House, Surrey, on the 3rd March.
Each will be rigorously tested at regional and national level, before moving on to compete against International peers. As well as cooking skills, entrants must demonstrate creativity, passion and a thorough knowledge of both traditional and modern cooking techniques.
The top three competitors will be invited to an awards dinner at The Dorchester on the 18th March where the GB representative for the International Finals, to be held in Manchester in September, will be announced.
For establishments who are not currently a member of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs but would be interested in joining or in submitting a candidate, please contact Philip Evins on bd@chaine.co.uk
