Jomast Developments has appointed Savills and West Mark Estates as letting agents at its new Chesterfield Elder Way mixed-use leisure development on the site of the former Co-op Department Store in Chesterfield town centre.
Restaurant units + hotel
Chesterfield Elder Way will comprise six new ground floor restaurant units ranging from 3,305 sq ft (307 sq m) to 3,916 (364 sq m), along with a hotel extending circa 40,000 sq ft (3,716 sqm) and a 16,284 sq ft (1,512 sq m) health and fitness unit.
The scheme is located within close proximity of the town’s principal retail provision at The Pavements and Vicars Lane and Chesterfield’s medieval quarter; The Shambles.
Carlene Hughes, associate director in Savills leisure team, comments: “We believe the strength of this landmark scheme will attract some fantastic new operators to the heart of the town centre. With other key developments such as Chesterfield Waterside helping to boost the town’s retail footprint, this large market town will further become a key destination in the East Midlands for consumers.”
