Filmore & Union, the first Yorkshire based healthy eating company, has just successfully raised £931,960 from their crowdfunding campaign, which ended last week after they overfunded by 186% of their £500,000 target.
Now, they are launching their 8th restaurant and bar in Ilkley this month which is due to open on Monday 10th August at the former Martha & Vincent on The Grove.
Filmore & Union Ilkley is expected to cost the company approximately £100,000 and will have 54 covers in total including an outside dining area and feature the first ever Filmore cocktail bar.
The 1,200sqft restaurant will follow a similar business model to the company’s eateries in Wetherby, Skipton and Low Petergate, York, and will be open from 8am serving breakfast, with an all-day menu starting at 11.30am running right through until 10pm.
It will also open for afternoon tea and Sunday brunch and will be hosting a number of themed evenings including a Tapas Night at the end of August, an Italian Night in September and a Moroccan Night in October.
Founder and director of Filmore & Union, Adele Carnell (pictured above), said, “We’ve been wanting to open a Filmore in Ilkley for a long time now, it was just a case of finding the perfect site. Now we’ve found it we can’t wait to finally open our doors to Ilkley residents and tourists! We’re looking forward to getting involved with as many community events as possible and forming strong partnerships with local businesses.”
About Filmore & Union
Filmore & Union is an independent chain of healthy eating cafes and restaurants founded on the idea that true health means making the best decisions for your body so you can live a healthier, happier lifestyle full of nutrient dense food to help your body support you.
The healthy eating brand was founded in 2011 by Adele Carnell, a former wellness clinic owner, and Will Pugh, a Michelin trained chef, who were frustrated at the lack of healthy, unprocessed food on the high street.
The duo went on to open their first café and restaurant on Low Petergate, York, in March 2012 and now operate from 8 sites across Yorkshire, with two more planned to open by the end of September in Harrogate and Beverley.
