A recent poll of 1067 Londoners undertaken by Mr Vine reveals – surprise, surprise – that Prosecco is top of the wine pops!
Perhaps more surprisingly, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc still flourish near the top, and – perhaps proof of rising confidence and spend – champagne is in 4th position.
Chardonnay now languishes in 15th spot – a far cry from its pre-eminence at one time.
