Arora Hotels has boosted the senior management team of its forthcoming InterContinental London – The O2 with the appointment of Viola Ncube as Director of Sales & Marketing and Carl Chapman as Director of Food & Beverage in advance of the luxury 453-room hotel launch winter 2015.

Viola joins with over 20 years’ global experience working within the hotel and hospitality management industry from her previous role as VP at Global Hospitality Services where she spent the last four years taking the business from a start-up with just 13 hotels to a portfolio of over 150, 4 and 5 star hotels and offices in 15 countries worldwide.
Viola, who speaks six languages, has extensive commercial hospitality and hotel experience in international markets including the USA, Asia, Africa and the Middle East and Europe having held Director of Sales positions for Pineapple Marketing, Lux Hotels Worldwide, Red Carnation and Accor. Viola’s experience also covers several new hotel openings including the 5 star Meikles Hotel in Harare – part of Leading Hotels of the World – The Puli Hotel in Shanghai, The Upper House in Hong Kong and The Montpellier in Cheltenham.
In addition, Viola’s passion for youth mentoring and leadership has been well recognised following her launch of iROCK! UK, an accredited social enterprise providing mentoring, training and access to employment programmes for young people, having secured her Social Entrepreneur of the Year, a spot on The Power 100 List, regular speaking slots and an advisory role with the Secretary General and Director of the United Nations Women Equality.
Carl Chapman
Carl brings with him a wealth of award-winning dining experience from iconic brands, joining the team from Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Canada where he has spent the last two years as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at the Fairmont Chateaux Lake Louise in Banff National Park, overseeing eight restaurants, bars and dining outlets across the resort.
Carl has extensive London experience having worked prior to Fairmont at The Savoy and Simpsons in the Strand, where he was headhunted to oversee the re-opening following years of restoration, along with private dining, events and food and beverage management roles with Claridges, Hyatt Regency Churchill, Hilton and Guoman in the capital.
