The University Caterers Organisation (TUCO), the UK’s membership community for in-house public sector caterers, is taking its Conference to the Capital this summer, as world leading Imperial College London plays host.
Hundreds of catering professionals from the Higher Education sector will gather in July for the annual event to share thoughts and opinions, discover new trends, network with peers and attend exclusive seminars held by food industry leaders, including renowned food writer and critic Jay Rayner.
The three day event, held from the 20th to 22nd July, has become a not-to-be-missed development experience as TUCO continues to invest heavily into its programme of membership benefits which culminate in this, its key skills and business advancement initiative.
Live Lounges
Brand new to the Conference for 2015 will be exclusive ‘Live Lounges’, where delegates will take part in a trends-led training programme delivered by TUCO suppliers. There will be a range of exciting and informative cookery demonstrations from URBAN eat, Peros and McCain, who will showcase the latest food innovations. In addition, seminars will be given from the likes of Atlantic Foods, Santa Maria Foodservice and Matthew Clark, who will cover a range of vital topics affecting the university catering sector.
One of the note speakers for this year will be business and culture change consultant, Liam O’Connell, who believes that motivated and engaged employees are the secret to delivering unforgettable customer service, increasing productivity and creating a successful and vibrant business culture.
Exciting development opportunity
Helen Anzani, Head of TUCO Learning and Development Group continues: “TUCO constantly looks to evolve and deliver more for members. We regularly review our offering and this year’s TUCO Conference at Imperial College London is no exception.
“We have listened to feedback from previous years, making this year’s event our most engaging yet, giving our members workshops they can tailor to their area of expertise. This year’s exhibition will be enhanced with live lounges and workshops with each day focussing on either food or drink.
“Alongside the great line up of keynote speakers, TUCO will be presenting key findings from industry leading research undertaken this year. Coupled with the enthusiasm of the team at Imperial College London this is shaping up to be an exciting development opportunity.”
The aim of TUCO’s Conference is to engage, inspire and inform delegates, so that they can return to their workplaces with new knowledge and experience to implement into their own catering processes.
