Cadogan and Jean-Louis Costes have announced a partnership which will see the marrying of their strengths in Chelsea at ‘One Sloane Gardens’, a unique partnership combining the quintessentially British style of the Cadogan Estate with Paris’s most talked-about hotelier.
Jean-Louis Costes will conceive and develop the boutique hotel project’s brand, character and ‘soul’, to combine a private and intimate feeling with the distinguished and historic pedigree of the Sloane Square Conservation area, a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of the fashionable boutiques of Sloane Square and Sloane Street. The property will reflect his enduring principles of elegance and individual spirit — capturing the best of the cultural and social milieu of the property’s location and moment in time.
Hugh Seaborn, CEO of Cadogan, said: “It was crucial for us not only to find the best possible partner in terms of experience and skill, but someone who shares our passion for creating a destination that is truly exceptional and inspiring. We are delighted to be working with the great visionary behind the iconic Hotel Costes — he has a unique way of creating beautiful environments for the world’s most discerning travellers.”
Currently used as residential apartments, development on site for One Sloane Gardens will begin in 2015 with the hotel expected to open in 2016.
