CEDA Member C&C Catering Equipment Limited are working alongside Michelin starred chef Nigel Haworth on the major renovation taking place at the Northcote hotel this summer.
After meeting with Nigel in January and visiting their recently completed Chester Grosvenor Hotel project to show him the quality of one of their installations, C&C were appointed to work directly with Nigel to develop his very specific requirements into a new scheme for the Northcote.
Michelin starred chefs have very high standards and every aspect of their “engine room” is meticulously thought through. Close cooperation between the Northcote and C&C teams plus the many years of combined experience has resulted in a kitchen design they are all extremely proud of.
Meetings where operational staff have commented on their areas of service have resulted in bespoke fabrication where every millimetre of space is planned. Electrolux equipment and in particular a bespoke Therma cooking suite has been chosen and the design has given Lisa Allen and her Brigade dedicated preparation and service areas.
With a 5 week shutdown running through to the 20th July, this is the first phase of a 12 month development plan that includes a completely new contemporary kitchen for the main restaurant; a specialist development kitchen with cookery school; redesigns of the Louis Roederer room, bar area and cocktail lounge and an extension to the hotel that will add 10 beautiful new bedrooms.
Bordering the Forest of Bowland area of outstanding natural beauty in the heart of the Ribble Valley, Northcote has been serving outstanding food since 1983. With a strong emphasis on Lancashire and its local products, the restaurant has a multitude of awards and has held a Michelin star since 1996.
Commenting on the work C&C are providing Nigel Haworth said “C&C are a very professional business and give me full confidence in the work they are doing now and in future developments.”
