Kevin Roberts, CEO Worldwide, Saatchi & Saatchi, Robert Cook, CEO, De Vere Hotels and Village Urban Resorts and Chris Sanderson, CEO, The Future Laboratory are confirmed as Key Note Speakers for The AHC 2013.
Kevin Roberts, CEO Worldwide, Saatchi & Saatchi
The 10th Annual Hotel Conference (AHC) will be opened by Kevin Roberts, CEO Worldwide, Saatchi & Saatchi. Roberts, who is renowned as a leader who transforms businesses, brands and reputation, will deliver his opening remarks at 14.10 on Wednesday 16th October. Roberts passionately believes people are, without doubt, the most important part of any business. The main aim of his role is to inspire those working with him to be the best they can be: “All businesses start and end with people. Nowhere is this more prevalent than the hospitality industry which is run by people, for people. I am looking forward to presenting at The AHC in October and conveying my experiences and insights to the industry” Roberts said.
Robert Cook, CEO, De Vere Hotels and De Vere Village Urban Resorts
Robert Cook will open the second day of the conference on Thursday 17th October at 8.50. Cook’s previous roles include six years at Intercontinental Hotels, being part of the pre-opening team at The Balmoral, Edinburgh when it was re-launched in 1991 and Managing Director of Columbus and Dakota Hotel Group. Cook then joined Malmaison and was appointed CEO of the group in 2004. In 2006 he was awarded the Caterer and Hotelkeeper Award for Manager of the Year.
Chris Sanderson, CEO, The Future Laboratory
Chris will close the conference on Thursday 17th October at 16.45. Sanderson co-founded The Future Laboratory in 2001 and made two promises: to innovate and to inspire. The Future Laboratory continues to deliver these promises to their wide array of FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 partners. Sanderson believes the key to success is to look at certain cities around the world that are regarded as slightly ahead of the pack and then to emulate their latest trends and technologies. “It’s not as much about predicting the future, but learning from those already practising it. The hotel industry has a vast amount of technology available to implement. The challenge is to understand which of these technologies best suit your business and create a unique strategy that includes them.”
