Flintshire based company, C&C Catering Engineers Limited are highlighting the importance of upholding gas safety certificates to the owners of catering facilities, by offering a discounted rate of 20% on new maintenance contracts taken out before the end of August. With an annual gas safety inspection required by law in any commercial property, C&C Catering Engineers are further recommending a bi-annual maintenance inspection in environments that might use gas appliances on a regular basis, such as an extremely busy commercial kitchen.
Founded in 1998, C&C Catering Engineers provides a professional repair and preventative maintenance service to all of their clients, of whom more than 200 are local schools, with appliances such as cookers, ranges and canopy extractors requiring regular checking under gas safety regulations. Engineer, Stuart Day, has been working for C&C Catering Engineers for more than eleven years and explains the importance of upholding gas safety measures as part of health and safety procedures:
“Simple preventative measures can save money and most importantly, ensure that these appliances are safe and fit for purpose. If regular inspections are not undertaken, problems can arise, such as a dangerous production of C0₂ (Carbon Dioxide) through poor ventilation. This can lead to an unpleasant and harmful environment, and in some extreme cases, fatalities.”
“It is essential that gas appliances meet the necessary safety requirements and we are on hand to advise our clients, both new and existing, to this end.” added director, Julie Dewar. “Taking out a 12 month maintenance contract with us will ensure that our clients receive an exceptional rate and most importantly, are fully compliant.”
