Sorcha Drakeford has joined Thwaites Inns of Character as Operations Director
Thwaites Inns of Character was launched in April 2011 and has quickly grown to a portfolio of six high-quality, traditional inns. There are now plans to develop that number to 25 in the next five years.
Sorcha joins Thwaites Inns of Character with a strong track record of success having previously worked for Spirit Pub Company. Her career also includes roles at Mitchells & Butlers, Whitbread Plc, Ask Restaurants and Pizza Express and she has extensive experience of developing new concepts.
And she’s started in her new role with an appeal for fresh talent and is on the lookout for new sites to help her achieve the expansion plans.
Sorcha explained:
“I’m delighted to be joining Thwaites Inns of Character at such a formative and exciting point in the evolution and growth of the business. We’ve got six fantastic sites already and we are looking to grow at a significant rate over the next five years.
“I am looking for talented, dynamic people to join the team to help me drive the business forward and we also need some great new sites. The search is on throughout the UK but we are shortly opening in York and Solihull.”
