Wadworth Brewery has re-organised distribution and warehousing to allow their beers to become available across a much wider area, making famous Wadworth ales such as 6X, Corvus, Horizon and Bishop’s Tipple available directly to pubs and free houses across the whole of the South of England including London.
This significantly extends the company’s traditional distribution area which covers the South West of the country.
The Wiltshire based company until recently ran their own distribution from the brewery in Devizes. However recent successes with beers such as the new nitrokeg stout, Corvus, and with enquiries from free houses increasing, the company realised that in order to meet demand and grow the business the distribution needed to be outsourced.
The international company chosen is KNDL based at Thatcham in Berkshire. KNDL have expertise in the transport of real ale and have earned a Cask Marque accreditation for their work.
Managing Director Charles Bartholomew, a great grandson of one of the founding Partners of Wadworth, explains the decision:
“This is an important move forward for Wadworth, opening up a bigger market for our beers and taking our excellent brands to a wider audience. We are excited about this new development, and are looking forward to seeing more Wadworth beers available to drinkers in London and the South East.”
