Westbury Street Holdings announces the appointment of Anil Alim, Procurement and Supply Chain Director
Anil Alim has been appointed procurement and supply chain director for Westbury Street Holdings which owns best in class hospitality and catering operations; BaxterStorey, Caterlink, Holroyd Howe and benugo, and Portico front of house management services which together turnover in excess of £300 million.
Reporting to Finance Director, Marc Bradley, Anil will be responsible for further developing the close relationships that Westbury has with its 1600 supply partners which includes, individual farmers , growers and artisan produce providers as well as building on the company’s strong relations with the main industry bodies and associations that govern and influence the sector. Anil will oversee a purchasing budget in excess of £123m which is expected to increase significantly in line with growth plans for the coming 5 years.
Anil has enjoyed a distinguished 20 year career working both on the supplier and buyer sides of the procurement relationship. He has wide experience in the hospitality, food retail, retail and business services sectors and until the end of December he was European purchasing director for £635m European office products wholesaler, Spicers Limited.
Priding himself on finding innovative solutions, Anil sees his role at Westbury as continuing to build on the core company values of purchasing sustainably, with the focus on building long term relationships with UK food producers and farms with a view to wherever possible using the highest quality, fresh seasonal British produce that is sourced locally to each client site.
