£30m Birmingham hotel contract goes ahead

Multibuild the Stockport contractor  has won the £30m contract to rebuild and modernise the disused Cumberland House tower in central Birmingham into a Hampton by Hilton Hotel. £300m will be invested in new properties to boost the Travelodge estate to 495 hotels and 35,841 rooms.
