Fuller, Smith and Turner today announced the launch of its second tranche of advertising for London Pride, the UK’s No 1 premium ale, featuring new brand ambassador James May.
Over 500 posters will appear across southern England in the weeks to Christmas, in four different designs, complementing the four television adverts currently on UK screens.
John Roberts, Managing Director of the Fuller’s Beer Company said: “We’ve received such fantastic feedback about our campaign that we decided it was time to step it up a notch and bring it to a whole new audience. The posters are wry and witty, featuring James and his trademark sense of humour.”
James said: “London Pride is a British classic that deserves wider fame and fortune. More than that, it’s absolutely bloody lovely. I don’t really do advertising, but for a beer like this, I’m happy to make an exception.
The poster campaign is part of a £2 million campaign comprising TV, digital and print elements.
London Pride has also recently launched an online tour of the family business’ 350-year-old brewery in Chiswick, hosted by James and a tutored beer tasting, with Fuller’s Head Brewer John Keeling on its new Facebook page
The poster campaign will begin this week and was created by integrated agency DCH who also work with major clients including MG, Nikon and Proctor & Gamble.
