Ician Developments, a subsidiary of Muse Developments, is set to build a Holiday Inn Express hotel on a plot adjacent to the Crowne Plaza hotel in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
Ician has agreed the deal with Manchester City Council and Merseyside-based Centre Island Hotels and work has now begun on the 192-bed, three star hotel.
The Co-operative Bank’s Liverpool corporate banking centre will provide a £10m funding package for the development, which is due to open in summer 2011.
