PizzaExpress O2 Greenwich restaurant was transformed on Friday into a ‘Comedy Kitchen’ hosted by comedians Micky Flanagan and Joe Lycett.
Real guests booked into the restaurant were treated to comedy sketches with Joe Lycett waiting on the public and Micky Flanagan perfecting his culinary skills in the kitchen. Even Val Stones from last year’s Great British Bake Off made an appearance, serving up desserts for everyone.
The restaurant donated £25,000 on the night to support the Red Nose Day appeal and guests also donated using charity boxes in the restaurant.
Antenor Siqueira, Head Chef at PizzaExpress says, ‘We were so excited to be asked to be a part of one of the biggest days on the fundraising calendar. It was great fun to be involved in such an activity and we are happy that we were able to support this worthwhile cause through a donation too.’
