The Better Breakfast initiative, launched by leading hospitality provider BaxterStorey, aims to help busy office workers start their day with a healthy and nutritious meal without compromising on taste or time. The indulgent offerings range from innovative updates on well-known classics to brand new delicious recipes inspired by the latest gastronomy trends.
The initiative responds to recent research that suggests 38% of breakfasts are chosen for their convenience, with many putting time before nutrition and taste and opting for the quickest breakfast to satisfy a morning craving. Better Breakfast is a convenient healthy option and competitor to the tired grab-and-go breakfasts seen on the high street.
The range includes hot and cold wholesome menu choices, with daily specials. Many Better Breakfast products will be marked with ‘Healthy Me’ stickers, an easy to spot seal that indicates the dish has been nutritionally analysed and meets a strict set of healthy eating criteria.
Chris Ribaudo, Executive Chef at BaxterStorey said “Providing our busy customers with a healthy start to their day has become a real passion for us. We love creating exciting new recipes designed to provide the best breakfast experience possible.
“It has been a challenge to balance the requirement for convenience with our passion for fresh, seasonal and healthy produce, but with Better Breakfast, our customers get delicious food without the guilt.”
Recipes include homemade honey, orange and cinnamon butter on a choice of artisan breads, pearled spelt or quinoa porridge with blackberry, rosemary and almond butter and shakshuka with dukkha and cheese curds. Also on offer are a range of more indulgent choices including; pastries, pancakes, waffles, French toast, posh butties and fully loaded big breakfasts such as The Full Mexican.
For every roll of ‘Better Breakfast’ stickers sold to retail outlets BaxterStorey will donate £10 to Magic Breakfast. A registered UK charity, Magic Breakfast help ensure that no child is too hungry to learn through provision of healthy breakfast food and expert support to Primary, Secondary and Special Education Needs schools. With BaxterStorey’s help they make sure over 23,500 children start their school day in the best possible way.
The initiative is currently being rolled out across the UK at more than half of BaxterStorey’s locations with plans to extend this further over the coming months.
