Carringtons Catering has described 2016 as a ‘monumental year’ for the business.
Having catered for members of the royal family including Her Majesty The Queen and HRH Princess Anne, together with MP lunches and an array of corporate galas, the locally based firm has fed more than a staggering one million guests in the past 12 months.
In addition to playing host to notable occasions from prestigious awards to private events, the local independent furthered its extensive venue portfolio earlier this year, after becoming a preferred caterer at the acclaimed country house Bodrhyddan Hall.
Director of Carringtons Catering Helen Wynn said: “2016 has certainly been a significant year for the team and I, as not only have we furthered the scope and distinction of our events, the team as a collective is stronger and more diverse than ever before. It is because of their combined hard work and genuine passion in what they do, not to mention having our very own Master Chef of Great Britain in the form of my husband Darren, that we are able to deliver an innovative culinary excellence with a first-class service.
“Catering for Her Majesty The Queen during a formal reception lunch at Liverpool Town Hall this summer has got to be one of our most memorable and proud moments to date. Other highlights this year include playing host to a record number of events at the magnificent St George’s Hall, maintaining our stance as a wedding specialist by creating bespoke catering in venues such as Sefton Park Palm House and Meols Hall Tithe Barn and striking up new long-standing affiliations with local businesses and venues including the stunning North Wales based Bodrhyddan Hall.”
With more than 35 years’ experience in the catering industry, Carringtons Catering is one of the North West’s longest standing independent firms, providing bespoke catering, event and hospitality services for a range of corporate and private occasions. High-profile clients include royals, sports and TV personalities, prominent business figures and authorities.
Helen added: “Throughout the past 12 months, we have also made a concerted effort to further our charitable efforts having selected Nugent Care as our chosen charity for the second time. From treating youngsters down at the charity’s Epsom Street Community Centre with tasty Scouse on Global Scouse Day to donating a giant commemorative pie on St George’s Day, we like to mix fundraising with foodie fun. We also delivered Liverpool Town Hall’s very first ‘Strictly Nugent’ in association with Nugent Care, which raised a phenomenal sum for local causes.
“From an event point of view, while we have certainly stepped it up a notch in terms of the calibre of our public figure, government and corporate occasions, our commitment to delivering a second-to-none experience for family functions such as weddings, birthdays and christenings to name a few, remains an upmost priority. We have finalised our year of fantastic events by teaming up with Liverpool Town Hall to offer The Show Spectacular – a festive night out with a difference featuring theatrical entertainment courtesy of Cigam Productions. No matter what the scale of the event, we want all of our guests to be treated like royalty.”
