Waddesdon Wine, part of the Rothschild Foundation, who import and market the wines from the Rothschild wineries has appointed a National Sales Director as they look to expand the presence of Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) within the UK.
Helen Miller, formerly of E&J Gallo Winery, will represent the DBR (Lafite) branded wines, which encompasses the award winning wines from Viña Los Vascos in Chile, Bodegas CARO in Argentina, Domaine d’Aussières in Corbières (South of France) and the Légende range from Bordeaux. Helen Miller will also have access to Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Duhart-Milon, Château L’Evangile and Château Rieussec.
Chris Campbell, WW CEO commented:
‘As we continue to carefully grow the volumes of DBR (Lafite) in the UK, it was crucial we recruited an individual with gravitas and rigour, who has worked extensively with significant UK accounts. It was also important that we recruited someone with first-rate commercial acumen, and who recognises the significance of working with a family company who has been producing Grand Vin at the highest level for over 150 years’.
Christophe Salin, CEO of DBR (Lafite):
‘We are delighted to welcome Mrs Helen Miller. Her expertise is for us a significant asset to contribute to the development of DBR wines in a market to which we are historically and deeply attached”.
Helen Miller commented:
‘It is a real privilege to be working with the DBR (Lafite) wines at such an exciting time. I very much look forward to building on such robust foundations. The DBR (Lafite) name offers an unparalleled assurance of quality and I feel extremely fortunate to be working with the wines, the Lafite history and the people. We are looking to work with carefully selected new customers, while developing business with our existing and loyal customer base’.

About DBR (Lafite)
Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) has based its development on its skill in the cultivation of vines and the production of wine. The Group has grown around Château Lafite Rothschild, with the successive acquisition of Château Duhart-Milon (4th Grand Cru Classé in Pauillac), Château Rieussec (Premier Grand Cru Classé in Sauternes) and Château L’Évangile (Pomerol).
It then expanded outside the Bordeaux region with Viña Los Vascos (Chile, 1988), Domaine d’Aussières (Languedoc, 1999), Bodegas CARO (Argentina, 1999) and China with the development of a vineyard in the Penglai region since 2008.
From 1995, Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) has produced a range of Bordeaux wines under the Signature Collection Barons de Rothschild (Lafite).
With 1,200 hectares of its own vineyards, Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) works with a worldwide network of more than 80 distributors.
