Celebrating beef in London, Dubai, Hong Kong and Buenos Aires.
On 21st September 2016, Gaucho celebrated their largest annual event, Divine Bovine.
For the first time, Divine Bovine was celebrated across four cities across the globe – westwards to Sucre in Buenos Aires; south to Gaucho in Dubai and east to Gaucho in Hong Kong over the course of one evening.
Gaucho’s Divine Bovine is an annual celebration of the very best in Argentine Aberdeen Angus beef, and at this year’s celebration guests enjoyed an extraordinary meal with five of the courses and even a welcoming Dirty Beef Martini, devoted to beef in all its many glories.
Matt Ford, Gaucho’s Marketing Director said: “It was wonderful to bring together diners from around the world to share the Divine Bovine experience for the first time, and to hold the event in our Piccadilly restaurant, which has just been refurbished with sophisticated new designs and layouts across all four floors.”
Gaucho’s Group Executive Chef Jamie Robertson created an internationally-influenced menu, paired with Gaucho’s exclusive Argentine wines chosen by Phil Crozier, Gaucho’s Director of Wines. Dishes included a sumptuous Coffee and Cocoa Rubbed Ancho Fillet, 12 hour Braised Back Ribs with a hoisin and marmalade glaze, “Steak and Egg” served with chipotle ketchup and heirloom tomatoes, and the decadent Seared Beef Fillet with truffle compote.
The evening not only included Jamie’s extraordinary 5 course menu but began with a wine masterclass by Group Sommelier, Edgar Znutins followed by a fun and informative meat masterclass with Chef Jamie Robertson. Both masterclasses were live streamed across social media.
The evening ended with a sign off from Buenos Aires.
