The Drury Tea & Coffee Company, London-based tea blender and coffee roaster, this year celebrating its 80th birthday, has introduced a smart new range of packaging for its espresso coffees. Drury was at the forefront of the first ‘frothy coffee’ revolution in the 1950s and continues to set standards in espresso coffee production today.
New Packaging
The repackaged range has four different colourways and the central focus of each pack is a close-up of a cup of espresso coffee. For the first time, the range includes a dedicated Rainforest Alliance version. The style, pastel colours and matt finish portray a fresh, modern appearance. Rainforest Alliance coffees are packed in light brown packs and the other colours – grey, blue and green – broadly reflect the different grades of coffee. Each blend is clearly overprinted on the front of the pack to differentiate between varieties.
Speaking at the launch, Drury Director, Marco Olmi, said: “We think that the muted ‘New England’ colours we have selected are very modern and better reflect our company image. Each one of our 16 espresso blends is listed for a purpose and has a dedicated client following. We would, of course, like to assure customers that the packaging change in no way changes the composition of the blends.”
