Following the success of their first Monday Mash-Up event with Beavertown Brewery, Chai Ki has unveiled its new line-up, starting with Tap East together with Beak Brewery, followed by Sambrooks. This July, each brewery will host a night of guerilla beer and spice tastings focusing on limited edition small-batch brews.
On 18th July, Beak Brewery and Tap East will team-up to showcase their limited edition Enigma Double IPA, which will be available exclusively on the night. The man behind Beak, Dan Tapper, will be selecting beers from his favourite brewers to match with Chai Ki’s menu of bold, spicy sharing plates. Together with the Tap East team, Dan will be on hand to spread their love of small-batch beers.
The following Monday, 25th July, Sambrook’s will make the short hop from Battersea to match their small batch beers with Chai Ki’s menu, including Black IPA, paired with Lamb Keema Naan. Featured on the menu will also be Buffalo Badger Brown Ale, an American take on a traditional British ale created by Sambrooks with Heretic Brewing Company from California. Buffalo Badger Brown Ale is part of Sambrook’s small batch ‘Brewed by the River’ series and will be paired with Chai Ki’s chilli, coconut & curry leaf Coorgi Pulled Pork. Throughout the evening Sambrook’s brewers and the Chai Ki team will impart their wisdom on all things craft beer and spice.
The upcoming Monday Mash-Ups will be hosted in Chai Ki’s Toddy Shop Bar, inspired by the informal coastal drinking dens of Southern India. The bar deploys a stripped back feel, with exposed structural steels and block work, punctuated by bespoke headlight lamps. Monday Mash-Ups will continue later this year with unique pairing menus and collaborations. In September, ‘Rum & Spice’ will feature classic cocktails given a Chai Ki twist including Mojito, Treacle and Dark ‘N Stormy.
